In 2001 Gary got a call from the Appleton Post Crescent.  Immediately he started worrying that his bail check had bounced and that he'd be going back to the slammer.  In contrast, the phone call turned out to be quite pleasant.  They mentioned that the state legislators were voting on an "Official State Waltz" and that they were listening to the Old Lager Band's rendition of the "Wisconsin Waltz" on capitol hill.

With no word since that time the thought had left Gary's mind.  Then on March 20th, son #1, Dave, was approached at work by a coworker.  Apparently, this coworker was doing research on the internet with his son for a school project.  They stumbled upon the link and wondered if the "Kuchenbecker" was the same "Kuchenbecker."  .....And now there's an extra page on the website devoted to this story!!
